TLC Confidence Scale Level

When working with students on a project, we use this confidence scale to asses their growth from the beginning of a project to the end and how it can be applied to future projects. The student then gets the confidence to undertake future projects based on their newly acquired skills.

Confidence Level 1

Student is unsure of themselves and may be afraid to tackle the project.

Confidence Level 2

Student’s confidence grows. They think about the project and plan for the things they will need.

Confidence Level 3

The student is making progress by engaging more and performing more hands-on tasks.

Confidence Level 4

Student is progressing through the project and thinks through solutions as obstacles arise.

Confidence Level 5

Student successfully completes a project with guidance and is acknowledged for their hard work, effort, engagement, planning and really being hands-on.

Confidence Level 6

Student is able to work on their projects without guidance. Their confidence level is at it’s highest here because they are able to use critical thinking and hands-on skills to solve many of the issues that may arise with their home projects.

Home Examination

Before hiring any labor or subcontractor, it is important to know what the scope of work is or each project in order to have better control over the outcome and costs. We can help you with this by performing a Home Examination. Together we will do a walkthrough of your home (interior and exterior), develop your to-do list and addressing your concerns. At the end of the walkthrough you’ll be able to breakdown your project by trade and we will help you with writing down the required scope of work for each trade so that you have a keen understanding of what needs to be done, as a result of your home examination you’ll be able to control the costs and quality of work.
